Increase of exports and imports in containers in Europe |  11/3/2010

According to the news that appeared in the newsletter Marítimas dated November 3rd, 2010 (enclose), imports and exports of containers in Europe via maritime has increased.

From January to June 2010 exports of goods in containers by sea in Europe were 7.573.800 containers (TEUs), a 16.4% higher than the same period last year. Comparing the same period, import increased 14,1% over 2009, were from 10.282.700 TEUs.
These results are from the last report of the European Liner Affairs Association (ELAA).
